Isabella's 1st Easter egg hunt - 3/28/2010

Jen and Tim's church (Whaley Street United Methodist Church) held an Easter egg hunt this afternoon. Bella had a great time collecting colored eggs and had lots of great treats to take home with her. She is the littlest member of the congregation and it was very sweet to see how they all look out for her. There was one whole section that was set up with eggs that only she could gather - it was off limits to the bigger children. She had a blast and so did we!

There are lots of pretty eggs on the window sill!

Look at the bright orange egg on the fire extinquisher!

Hmmm. This blue egg matches Grandpa's shirt. One more for the basket.

Bella and Grandpa found a pink egg.

A pretty yellow egg for the Easter basket!

Good news for Tim!

During the last couple of weeks, Tim applied for and was interviewed for a full-time position with the American Red Cross Blood Services Region here in Columbia. Late this past week, he was offered and accepted the full-time position which he will start tomorrow, 3/29/2010. What good news for Tim and Jen! I just know that he will do the Red Cross proud as he has much to offer the company!

Jenny and Isabella are celebrities! 3/17/2010

Remember the past posts about library time? Well, yesterday Jenny and Bella made the front page of the Metro section of our newspaper, The State! Yesterday, an article appeared in the Metro section about the Mother Goose Story time that she attends. Please click on the link below to read the article and view the pictures that accompanied it. How exciting to see our girls on the front page of that section!

Finger painting for Bella

Bella enjoyed a session of finger painting at home one day last week. She painted several works of art that will be sold at a fund raiser at Jen and Tim's church. She is quite the budding artist! She has sold 1 painting so far and has quite a few more spoken for. The idea behind the fund raiser is for the congregation to invest $10 into their project and "grow it" (basically).
