Mother's Day 2010

I had a great Mother's Day! Ray and I teamed up in the morning to get the pool and patio area prepped for our Mother's Day get together yesterday afternoon. The girls and Tim and our good friends, the Anderson's, came over for a pool party and cook out. The water was still a little cool for most of us, but a few hardy souls got in and enjoyed a refreshing swim. The rest of us enjoyed soaking in the rays; it was such a pretty day yesterday. We had some great hamburgers and hotdogs and the usually picnic fare. Between Angie and Laura, we had a strawberry shortcake, apple pie and banana pudding. All were just scrumptious and the company was just perfect. Like I said, it was a great Mother's Day!

The start of another pool season - 05022010

Ray and I uncovered the pool on Sunday.  (No small undertaking as the cover is quite heavy.)  Isabella and Jen came by to hang out and dip their feet in the pool.  It was in the 90's on Sunday, so it really felt good.

Swim Class for Isabella - April 27, 2010

Isabella has the last of 8 swim classes on this Thursday. The program is 2 nights a week for 4 weeks. Tonight, I met Jen at the Holiday Inn Express on Garners Ferry for the 7th of the 8 classes so that we could get some pictures and video. Bella is a little mermaid - she loves the water.

Our rose bushes are just exploding with blooms this year. I was afraid that the cold and snow this winter would be bad news for them, but it is quite the contrary! Jen and Bella came over to hang out on Monday night. We don't need much of an excuse to snap a few pictures with the girls!
